COPE & Climbing Program Manager
4 day course, Sat-Tues
Developed for currently trained Project COPE Directors, Climbing Directors, COPE Level II Instructors or Climbing Level II Instructors who serve as Council COPE/Climbing Committee Chairman and /or manage and oversee year round council COPE and Climbing programs. Participants will explore complex topics including: creating positive learning environments; sequencing group activities to match the groupís goals; creating "ownership" and facilitation involvement to give learners control and responsibility for learning; marketing strategies; facilitator training; program management; emergency action planning; effective maintenance and including participants with disabilities. This conference involves participation in high and low COPE and one half day of participation at a Rock Climbing instructional site and requires that each participant be in excellent physical condition. Requirements: Current COPE and/or Climbing Director Certification or COPE or Climbing Level II Instructor.
